Episode 66 - THE WEEK IN ICELAND - AND THIS WEEK TO COME

Today, RÚV English looks back on a busy week - and ahead to an even busier one?

Darren's guest is author and journalist Valur Gunnarsson, reviewing Eurovision, whaling, the two members of Pussy Riot who are amongst Iceland's newest citizens, and the proposed "alternate airport" tax. But the conversation also turns to the rest of this week, with Iceland's presidency of the Council of Europe concluding with a major summit in the capital.

Valur's latest book, and first in English, is called "What If Vikings Conquered The World?", which is published in the next few weeks.

Today's show plays out with the great new single by singer-songwriter Már Gunnarsson, "Falling For You".
